Colonists stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation forces.
The Palestinian news agency (WAFA), citing local sources, reported that colonists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals and public group prayers in the eastern area.
The same sources added that the occupation imposed strict measures around the vicinity and gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and deployed large reinforcements of its forces and police to secure the colonists’ incursions.
The occupation authorities exploit Jewish holidays to escalate tensions in Jerusalem, using them to justify the incursions, close off access points to the holy city, isolate it from its surroundings, and turn it into a military barracks. They prevent Palestinians from entering, suppressing and assaulting worshipers and those stationed there, provide full protection for settlers to desecrate the site and perform their Talmudic rituals, and enforce their presence inside the mosque.
