WAFA added that the occupation forces also launched a heavy airstrike targeting the city center.
On Thursday night, an agreement was announced to initiate the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan, aimed at ending the war on the Gaza Strip, ensuring the withdrawal of occupation forces, facilitating humanitarian aid access, and arranging the exchange of prisoners and detainees.
Since October 2023, the Israeli occupation’s devastating war on the Gaza Strip has left more than 67,000 Palestinians dead and around 170,000 injured, most of them women and children. The prolonged blockade has deepened the humanitarian catastrophe, causing famine that has claimed 460 lives, including 154 children.
