The event at the Karnataka Engineer’s Academy, Basaveshwara Nagar, Bengaluru, was opened by KSQ general secretary Kumar Swamy. Former president H K Madhu was the master of ceremony.
The function was inaugurated with a lamp lighting by chief guest Paralympian Padma Shri Dr K S Rajanna, KSQ president Ravi Shetty, advisory chairman Mahesh Gowda, former presidents, and managing committee members.
The felicitation of social workers was conducted by treasurer Pradeep Dileep. They were Dr Rajanna (Mandya), Nagarathna (Belgaum), Geetha R Shetty (Mangalore), Prakash Shettigar (Beluvai), Harish Pergade (Meremajal), Ashwin Angadi (Ballari), Ranjith (Bengaluru), Tarula Tarun (Theerthahalli), Herald Moras (Vamanjoor), Vasanth Master (Mangaluru), Annappa (Kodagu), and Jayaram (Kundapura).
The first part concluded with Sangeetha Ragasudhe, featuring State Award-winning singer Rameshchandra, Dr Susheela, and Prakash Pavanje.
The second part featured tribute to KSQ founders and pioneers. Founder vice president Dr V C Moorthy, former presidents Prakash Babu, Prabhakar, Aravind Patil, Venkat Rao and Anuradha Nagesh Rao, founder president Sathish Deshpande and Bhuvana Nagaraj were honoured at their residences.
The former managing committee members honoured were: Sooryanarayana, R Ravi, Shyam N Swami, Veena Santhosh Kulkarni, Rajendra Jyothi, Shalini Sharan Alur, Roopa Pramod, Arun Kumar M K, Subramanya E, Manjula Manjunath Rao, Ashok Unakal, C R Manjunath, Lakkappa Gowda, Savitha Arun, Niyaz Ahmed, Hema Lakkappa, Asha Nanjappa, and Sanjana Jeevan.
Special recognition was also given to International Aryabhata Awardees Suma Mahesh and Ashwin P Kumar, and silver jubilee supporters Arun Kumar and Sanjay Chapolkar. Senior members Chandrashekar Manakwad, Jaya Shetty, Prakash Rao, Puttanna, and poet Shantaram Shetty were honoured with silver jubilee shawls. The celebration concluded on a high note with more Sangeetha Ragasudhe. Former president Prabhakar and Venkat Rao, supported the event.
