Podar Pearl School, Doha, proudly welcomes Mr. Rakesh Singh Tomar as its new Principal, effective 20 August 2026. His appointment marks a significant milestone for the school, bringing new impetus and fresh perspectives to its continued pursuit of academic excellence and holistic education.
With over 28 years of experience in education, including more than 18 years in senior leadership, Mr. Tomar brings a distinguished professional profile shaped by his work across India, Qatar and Oman. His expertise encompasses the CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE curricula, alongside extensive experience in academic development, school improvement, teacher empowerment, institutional governance and parent engagement.
An accomplished and progressive education leader, Mr. Tomar has previously served as Principal of Doha Modern Indian School, Qatar and Founder Principal and CEO of Indian School Bousher, Muscat, Oman. His contributions to the education sector have earned notable recognition, including being named among the 100 Most Promising Principals in India and receiving the Most Innovative Principal – Indian Schools Oman award.
