How AMD’s latest technologies help businesses increase performance and optimally protect sensitive data. AMD’s flagship products clearly demonstrate why the company is a leader in the processor market. The 4th generation of AMD EPYC CPUs powers the world’s fastest supercomputer.1 The Ryzen AI Max is the most powerful AI processor for the next-generation PC.2 With the EPYC 9005 series, AMD delivers outstanding performance for cloud, enterprise, and AI workloads. AMD is also at the forefront of gaming: its semi custom chips are used in the fastest consoles. For laptops, the Ryzen 9 9955HX30 offers top speed, while the Ryzen 9 9950X30D sets standards for gaming and content creation in the desktop segment. Together, this clearly shows: AMD is number one in many areas of professional processors.Since its founding in 1969, AMD has grown from a small semiconductor player in Silicon Valley into a global technology company that continuously expands the boundaries of what is possible in computing. From the early days with its first processor designs to current innovations in high-performance and AI technologies, AMD’s history is one of continual development and creative engineering passion. INNOVATION AND PERFORMANCE IN THE PROFESSIONAL PROCESSOR MARKET The broad product portfolio not only underscores AMD’s leading role in the high-end processor space but also demonstrates how the company purposefully supports professional users and developers. In the mobile professional segment in particular, AMD is setting new standards with the Ryzen AI PRO processors: the specially developed high-performance processors for mobile devices bring advancements in artificial intelligence to a completely new level. The processors combine modern Zen 5 CPU cores with an integrated, powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that delivers up to 55 TOPS (tera-operations per second)3 for AI workloads — currently one of the highest AI compute capabilities in mobile processors. An NPU is a specialized chip that executes AI-powered tasks directly on the device without requiring cloud services. This enables businesses and professional users to run complex AI models and data-intensive applications locally and efficiently. Because the AI processes run in the background, battery life is preserved and performance dips are avoided: all applications remain smooth and responsive, even under intensive AI use.In addition to AI performance, the AMD Ryzen AI PRO processors score with comprehensive security features across six layers: the Secure Processor4 protects firmware and BIOS (hardware root of trust), AMD Memory Guard5 encrypts the entire system memory, the Shadow Stack defends against code tampering, Microsoft Secured-Core PC provides enhanced OS-level protection, AMD V with GMET secures virtual machines, and Supply Chain Security guarantees the authenticity of chips along the supply chain. This ensures optimal security from hardware to software. WINDOWS 10 SUPPORT ENDS IN 2025: THE PERFECT TIME TO SWITCH TO A FUTURE-PROOF SOLUTION. The end of support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025, highlights the urgency of migrating IT infrastructures to modern, high-performance systems. After that date, security updates, bug fixes, and technical support for Windows 10 will no longer be provided. This is exactly where AMD’s free “Test Drive” loan program comes in: it enables companies to trial the latest AMD Ryzen AI PRO processors risk-free and in real-world conditions, facilitating a well-founded migration to modern technology. IT teams can thereby evaluate the accelerated performance, industry-leading AI features, comprehensive security capabilities, and long battery life in practice and make an informed decision about the future of their IT infrastructure: www.ryzen.pro/de/test-driveFootnotes: 1) https://www.amd.com/en/blogs/2025/amd-maintains-global-supercomputing-leadership.html 2) STX-04a – Based on AMD product specifications and competitor products announced in October 2024, the NPUs of AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors provide up to 50+ peak TOPS. In a meeting on the Palestinian issue, the United Nations Security Council listened last night to a briefing by UN Deputy Special Coordinator and Resident Coordinator at the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO) Ramiz Alakbarov regarding settlement activities. The UN coordinator provided a briefing to the Security Council on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2334, concerning settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem. The resolution, adopted by the Security Council in 2016, affirms that “Israel’s establishment of settlements in Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, had no legal validity, constituting a flagrant violation under international law and a major obstacle to the vision of two States living side-by-side in peace and security, within internationally recognized borders.”At the outset of his review of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ report on the implementation of the resolution, Alakbarov noted that the resolution reiterates its demand that Israel immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem. He said that settlement activities nevertheless continued at high levels. During the reporting period from Dec. 3 to March 13, Israeli planning authorities advanced or approved more than 6,000 housing units in the occupied West Bank.Alakbarov also reported an acceleration in the demolition and seizure of Palestinian-owned structures, attributing this to the lack of Israeli-issued building permits, which are nearly impossible for Palestinians to obtain. He added that the eviction of Palestinians from their homes in occupied East Jerusalem has continued, while violence against civilians persists, with numerous deadly incidents recorded.Regarding the situation in Gaza, the UN coordinator said that the ceasefire remains highly fragile. He referred to ongoing Israeli air operations, shelling, and live fire across the Gaza Strip, including around what is known as the ‘Yellow Line.’ At the same time, he noted that high levels of violence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have continued at an alarming pace.During the period covered by the report, 32 Palestinians, including 7 children, were killed in large-scale operations carried out by Israeli security forces, exchanges of fire, settler attacks, and other incidents in the West Bank. The UN official also noted that daily settler attacks have escalated, often in the presence of Israeli forces, resulting in casualties, property damage, and displacement among Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank.He conveyed the condemnation of the UN Secretary-General of the continued and unrelenting expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, stating that it fuels tensions, restricts Palestinian access to their land, and threatens the viability of an independent, contiguous Palestinian state.Alakbarov called on Israel to comply with its obligations under international law, expressing concern over unilateral Israeli measures to deepen administrative and territorial control over the West Bank. He said these steps are likely to further entrench Israeli control over the land and contribute to settlement expansion. In his report, the UN Secretary-General reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Palestinians in ending the unlawful occupation and resolving the conflict in line with international law, UN resolutions, and bilateral agreements aiming to achieve the vision of a two-state solution, with two states living side by side in peace and security based on the pre-1967 lines. France’s Kylian Mbappe arrives before training. REUTERS French superstar Kylian Mbappe says the knee injury that kept him sidelined for almost two months is “behind him” and there had never been a concern he would miss this year’s World Cup.The 27-year-old Real Madrid striker admitted he had not been at his best mentally during the 54-day absence – the longest of his career. “There was a lot of frustration, anger and anxiety,” the French captain said.Mbappe, who along with the French squad flew to the United States for friendlies against Brazil on Thursday and then Colombia Sunday, came on as a substitute for a few minutes in last week’s Champions League last-16 match at Manchester City.He also played over 25 minutes for Real – for whom he is top scorer this campaign with 38 goals in 34 appearances – in the 3-2 derby win over Atletico on Sunday. “It is behind me,” he said of the injury. “I put myself under a regime where I wanted to return gently but with a hunger to play. I hope I am going to be able to play during the international break and make a difference.”The France captain – a World Cup winner in 2018 and runner-up in 2022 – said he had been annoyed by the rumour mill suggesting his injury was more serious than it actually was. He had avoided undergoing surgery after scans he had in Paris at the beginning of March revealed he would not require an intervention. “Lots of people gave their own diagnosis, I heard many false things,” said Mbappe, who was appearing at an event of an insurance company he invested in in Paris on Monday.Mbappe said there had never been a doubt about the injury preventing him from playing at what will be his third World Cup finals in June. “No, that was never a topic of discussion,” he said. “At worst I could have had a partial rupture (of the ligament) which would have ruled me out till April. There was never a debate about the World Cup or the climax to the season with Real Madrid.”In spite of the sprain and the resulting pain the former PSG star played part of January and February, admitting he and Real “had tried to manage it as best as possible”. “One has to look at the positive, today, I have no pain and we are still in the hunt for trophies, that is what is most important,” he said. “We will have time afterwards to assess how it was handled. I am not going to go into the details, I will say I was not at my best in handling this period, I was not the happiest of players but I am delighted that is behind me now. All (the pain) is gone.”Mbappe said he was looking forward to pitting his wits against the Brazilians, who are managed by Carlo Ancelotti, who coached the Frenchman in his first season at Real. “It might be a friendly but when you play Brazil, the greatest footballing nation with five World Cup wins, it is unbelievable to play against them,” he said.”It is a team who could win the World Cup, it is good to compare how we are at the moment with them. Even if we cannot take a lot of learnings out of this get together, we can nevertheless take some. One thing is for sure we are not going there for a holiday, we are going there as a step in our preparations for the World Cup.” Related Story Source link
